Reporting sits at the center of every performance marketing function. It informs decisions, aligns teams, and provides visibility into what is working and what is not.
However, building recurring reports can be repetitive and time-consuming. Teams often recreate the same report configurations, reapply filters and KPIs, and manually export and share data with stakeholders. When these tasks are repeated every day or week, they add unnecessary operational effort and increase the risk of inconsistencies.
With Saved and Scheduled Reports, Apptrove makes it easier to save frequently used report configurations and automate their delivery, so teams can spend less time rebuilding reports and more time acting on performance insights.
This release introduces the ability to save report configurations and automate their delivery, enabling teams to streamline reporting workflows and reduce unnecessary operational effort.
Save Report Configurations for Consistent Access
Users can now save report configurations that include selected KPIs, applied filters, and Group By dimensions.
Saved configurations can include metrics such as Clicks, Impressions, Sessions, Installs, and Uninstalls, along with filters such as Agency, Partner, Geo, Campaign, and City. Users can also organize data using up to four Group By dimensions, such as Partner, Country/GEO, Campaign, Channel, or Month.
Once saved, these configurations can be accessed from the Saved Reports section without rebuilding the report from scratch.
Automate Report Delivery with Scheduling
In addition to saving reports, users can schedule them for automatic email delivery. Each schedule lets users select a saved report, define a rolling date range, choose a delivery frequency, set a delivery time, and specify recipients.
Scheduled reports support daily, weekly, and monthly frequencies. Available rolling date ranges include Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 30 Days, Last Month, This Month, and Custom. The selected date range automatically refreshes each time the report is generated.
Reports are sent in CSV format and can be delivered either as attachments or via secure download links, depending on file size. This ensures that stakeholders receive timely and consistent updates without requiring manual intervention.
Flexibility to Adapt to Changing Requirements
Reporting needs evolve over time, and this feature is designed to accommodate that.
Users can modify schedules, update recipients, adjust frequencies, or pause and resume delivery as required. Reports can also be triggered manually using the “Send Now” option when immediate access is needed.
If a saved report is linked to active schedules, the system provides clear warnings before deletion, ensuring that users are aware of any downstream impact.
Track Report Performance with Execution History
To ensure transparency, each scheduled report includes an execution history.
This provides detailed information on when reports were generated, their delivery status, and the recipients involved. In cases where report generation or delivery fails, the system automatically retries and surfaces the issue if further action is required.
This level of visibility allows teams to rely on automated reporting without losing oversight.
Why This Matters for Teams
The value of this feature lies in its ability to reduce operational overhead. By eliminating repetitive setup and manual distribution, teams can:
- Spend less time preparing reports
- Ensure consistency in reporting across stakeholders
- Reduce the risk of errors in recurring workflows
- Focus more on interpreting data and driving decisions
In effect, reporting becomes a more efficient and reliable component of the overall marketing process.
An Example Use Case for Saved and Scheduled Reports
Consider a weekly performance review process.
Previously, this would require rebuilding the report, applying filters, exporting the data, and sharing it with stakeholders on a recurring basis.
With Saved and Scheduled Reports, the process becomes significantly simpler. The report is saved once, scheduled to run at a fixed time, and automatically delivered to the relevant recipients. Each delivery reflects the most recent data based on the selected date range.
Key Considerations
- Up to 100 saved reports can be created per app
- Each user can configure up to 50 scheduled reports
- Reports are delivered in CSV format
- Larger reports are shared via secure download links
These limits are designed to ensure system performance and scalability.
How to Save a Report?
Saving a frequently used report takes just a few steps:
- Configure the report with your required KPIs, filters, and Group By dimensions.
- Select Actions → Save Report.
- Enter a report name.
- Select Save.
- Access the saved configuration anytime from Reports & Logs → Saved & Scheduled → Saved Reports.
Saved reports can also be searched, renamed, sorted, or deleted as needed.
So, How To Get Started?
You can access this feature within Apptrove under Reports & Logs > Saved & Scheduled
From this section, users can manage both saved report configurations and scheduled workflows in a centralized interface.
Effective reporting should support decision-making without introducing unnecessary effort.
Saved and Scheduled Reports streamline a process that has traditionally been repetitive and manual, allowing teams to access and share data more efficiently.
By reducing the time spent on report preparation and delivery, this feature enables teams to focus on what matters most is understanding performance and acting on insights.
