Major Upgrades at Apptrove—Q1 2025 Product Highlights & Video Walk-through
Hey, hi, marketer,
Apptrove’s first-ever product update video is live, detailing the advances we rolled out between April and June 2025.
Below is your executive summary; for step-by-step demos and use-case walk-throughs, view the full recording on our YouTube channel.
Server-to-Server Tracking: No More tr_id Requirement
Server-to-server (S2S) integrations now accept any recognised device identifier—GAID, Android ID, IDFA, or IDFV—without the mandatory tr_id parameter. The result is faster onboarding, fewer engineering workarounds, and cleaner postback payloads.
Audience Segmentation by Media Source
Marketers can finally build audiences based on the partner that delivered the traffic, whether Meta, Google Ads, an affiliate network, or any other source. This enables true partner-level retargeting and refined cohort analysis inside Apptrove’s Audience module.
Click-ID Support for APK Postbacks
Teams distributing APKs outside Google Play can now include click-ID parameters in every postback. Multi-partner attribution stays intact, eliminating ambiguity when multiple affiliates promote the same build.
Web-to-App Smart Banners & Smart Scripts
Our June release bridges mobile-web and in-app experiences while preserving full attribution context.
- Smart Banners: Drop a lightweight snippet on your mobile site; Apptrove renders a banner that routes each visitor either to install flow or directly into the app, carrying UniLink parameters throughout.
- Smart Scripts: For advanced cases, Smart Scripts construct outbound OneLink URLs on the fly, passing GCLID, FBCLID, and any custom parameters—even if traffic arrives through a third-party tracker or tag manager. Desktop fall-back and override values are included by default.
Together, these tools provide a single, resilient hand-off from web visit to in-app session.
Apple Ads—Agency-Friendly Integration
Agencies can now authenticate Apple Search Ads accounts once and manage campaigns for multiple advertisers without requesting advertiser credentials. Access levels stay segregated; reporting remains centralised.
City-Level Filters in Reports & Dashboards
Performance reporting has moved from regional to municipal granularity. Filter any standard or custom dashboard by city to track hyper-local acquisition, retention, or revenue trends, ideal for metropolitan roll-outs and test-market launches.
