At Apptrove, data governance extends beyond collection and reporting. We maintain a clearly defined framework for data retention, recovery, access, and deletion so customers always understand where their data resides, how long it is retained, and when it is permanently removed.

This approach helps organizations meet privacy obligations while ensuring operational continuity and uninterrupted access to historical performance data.

Understanding the Apptrove Data Lifecycle

Active Account

As long as your Apptrove account remains active, customer data remains available for reporting, attribution, and analysis while the account is active. Stage I

Account Expiry or Deactivation

When an account becomes inactive, data is not immediately deleted. Instead, it enters a protected retention period designed to support recovery and business continuity needs. Stage II

180-Day Retention Window

During this period, customers may restore their account and retain access to historical information, including: Campaign history | Attribution records | Integration settings App configurations | Tokens and credentials | Historical reporting data Stage III

Permanent Deletion

After 180 days, all associated customer data is permanently deleted according to Apptrove's data deletion policies and compliance requirements. Stage IV

Customer data remains securely stored while an account is active. Once an account expires or is deactivated, data is retained for up to 180 days before permanent deletion.

Need to Stop Data Collection From a
Specific Source?

Sometimes businesses want to stop data collection from a specific partner while continuing to use
the rest of their attribution infrastructure.

Apptrove supports integration-level disconnection without requiring full account deletion.

To Disconnect an Integration
Disable the partner integration from your dashboard.
Remove any active attribution links associated with that partner.
Ensure campaign traffic is no longer directed through the disconnected source.
Important
Disconnecting an integration stops future data collection from that source. Previously collected data remains available under the standard retention policy unless a separate deletion request is submitted.

Your Privacy Rights

Apptrove supports customer privacy rights under applicable data protection regulations.

GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), individuals have the right to request deletion of personal data. Valid requests are processed within 30 days

CCPA

California residents may request deletion of personal information collected through Apptrove. Requests are reviewed and fulfilled in accordance with applicable CCPA requirements.
